In spring 2008 we will be offering tandem hang gliding flights. We have the latest in technology and can take a complete novice for a hang gliding experience flight. Our new Aeros Target 21 hang glider has it's own undercarriage thus allowing take off for both the pilot and passenger whilst already in their harnesses. We aerotow the hang glider to between 3000' and 5000' using a powerful microlight tug before releasing them for a what is simply an amazing flight experience. (Note : Maximum passenger weight is 12 stone).

At this stage the hang glider is free to explore the air currents and to look for thermals. The passenger will also be able to take to the controls and fly as free as a bird. This is a revolutionary breakthrough in learning how to hang glide whilst having a high amount of airtime per tow. Typical soaring flights can last as long as two or three hours given the right conditions.

Your hang glider experience will take place at Balado airfield. Naturally we need light winds to maximise your experience. This would be an ideal preparation for attaining the BHPA hang gliding license. Beyond that you can join our "Angus Hang Gliding Club" which footlaunches from the mountains in the region and annually in the French alps. Aerotow will also be on offer.
